Wonderful vintage Wheaton Clear embossed glass, wire top canister jar with wooden lid.
Great vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the jar itself....the wire bale works great..The wooden top shows some wear but is not cracked or splitting. Consistent with age and use. Please see pictures as part of condition descriptions 
the bottom of the jar is marked “1L”  and 3/4L  “Wheaton fine glassware”
